Educational Background and Qualifications:

1. Applicants must possess a PhD degree in a relevant field from a domestic or international universities. (Those without a PhD diploma are not eligible to apply.)

2.Applicants with international degrees must have their diplomas and transcripts verified by overseas missions.

Specializations:

Curriculum (Preference will be given to those specializing in “Culturally Responsive”).

Courses to be Taught:

Research on Curriculum Design and DevelopmentMulti-Cultural Education

Application Procedures and Deadline:

 1.Complete the department’s “New Full-Time Faculty Application Form” and attach copies of your master’s and doctoral diplomas, transcripts, relevant experience documentation, one copy of your doctoral dissertation, and three representative works. Indicate relevant courses related to your area of expertise on the transcript.

        •       Application materials must be sent by registered mail (express/courier) no later than January 31, 2025 (postmarked by the deadline) to: Department of Education, National Taipei University of Education, No. 134, Sec. 2, Heping East Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan, R. O. C.

        •       Please clearly label the envelope: “Full-Time Faculty Application.” Late applications will not be considered.

        •       Send the electronic copy of the “New Full-Time Faculty Application Form (including attachments)” to: haha@tea.ntue.edu.tw

 2.The department will first conduct a document review. Suitable candidates will be notified for interviews, which will include a teaching demonstration and research presentation. Candidates who do not pass the initial review will not be notified.

 3.Interview Date: To be announced after the first round of selection.

 4.Appointment Date: Expected to begin in the 2025 Fall semester.

 5.If applicants need their materials returned after the selection process, please provide a self-addressed, stamped return envelope. Please keep a copy of important application materials for your own records.

Additional Notes

According to the appointment and promotion regulations of the College of Education at National Taipei University of Education, new full-time faculty members in any department must fulfill one of the following requirements within five years of their appointment. Applicants should select one of the following categories based on their area of expertise:

Expertise Orientation Classification

project

Category A: Academic Research

1.Publications in academic journals indexed in SCI, SSCI, TSSCI, A&HCI, THCI, SCIE, or SCOPUS (as first or corresponding author).

2.Principal investigator for research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology or equivalent domestic/international organizations.

3.Author (or chapter contributor) of peer-reviewed academic books.

Note: At least two items from the above three categories are required.

Category B: Teaching Practice

1.Experience as a teacher at a university, primary/secondary school, or kindergarten.

2.Author of teaching-related books, textbooks, or materials/tools for teaching methods, or principal investigator for teaching-related projects funded by the Ministry of Education or equivalent organizations (including instructional videos, manuals, evaluation tools, etc.).

Note: Both conditions 1 and 2 must be met.
